In the first quarter of 2022, the top five Film & Television apps on the Android platform in Italy demonstrated varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at how Amazon Prime Video, Pluto TV: Watch Movies & TV, RaiPlay, Disney+, and Mediaset Infinity performed.

Amazon Prime Video saw a fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at around 58K in mid-February and ending the quarter at approximately 38K. Weekly revenue showed a downward trend, starting from $30 in the last week of December and dropping to $6 by the end of March. The app’s weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 1.3M in late February before stabilizing around 980K by the end of the quarter.

Pluto TV: Watch Movies & TV experienced a decrease in weekly downloads early in the quarter, from 78K in late December to around 36K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at 214K and ending the quarter at approximately 165K.

RaiPlay had a notable spike in weekly downloads at the end of January, reaching about 63K. However, downloads decreased to around 29K by the end of March. Weekly active users peaked at 525K in late January but dropped to around 224K by the end of the quarter.

Disney+ maintained a consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $120K, with a significant spike to $159K at the end of March. Weekly downloads started at 61K in late December, dipped to about 27K in late February, and rose again to around 40K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline from 1.3M in late December to around 1.2M by the end of March, with a peak of 1.17M in the final week.

Lastly, Mediaset Infinity exhibited a varied download pattern, peaking at around 48K in early January and then stabilizing around 23K by the end of March. Weekly active users started at 288K in late December, peaked at 472K in early January, and then leveled off to around 317K by the end of the quarter.
